Why “The Lizzie Bennet Diaries” Is the Greatest Thing

So, as you may or may not know, Hank Green, the nerdfighter uncle I never had, produced a youtube video series… web series? I feel like it’s web series. Anyway, it’s called the Lizzie Bennet Diaries, and it is amazing for more reasons than one.

The most impressive part of the series is almost definitely Lydia. I’ve read Pride and Prejudice no less than five times, and Lydia always just irks me. I have never liked her, not one bit, but in the Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Lydia is probably my favorite character! (Even though Lizzie and I will always be soulmates.)

Aside from Lydia, it’s just a very interesting, very fun, very funny adaptation. It’s cool to see how they adapt the story to our modern world, and especially how they adapt it to fit the world of vlogging. I don’t know why it took me forever to watch LBD, it just did… So if you’re like me and you want something AWESOME to binge watch with your cat and/or a tub of dark chocolate peanut butter cups, this is for you!

Also, I heartily endorse the new adaptation Hank and team are doing of Emma! It’s very exciting and we’re not that many episodes in! So if you like vlogbrothers, or Jane Austen, or vlogs in general, or literature in general, you should just watch it. They’re very very fun.
