I want to be able to love like Tonks does. Tonks knew exactly what she wanted. She didn’t care that Lupin was older than her, or diseased, she didn’t care about who would approve, because that’s just Tonks. She became an Auror even though everybody told her she couldn’t. She defied everyone’s expectations, and grew so much stronger because of it. She realized throughout her life that people’s expectations for you are all too often not what’s best for you. As a young woman, she saw what she wanted, what she needed, what she knew was going to make her feel happy and fulfilled, and she latched onto those things, whether they be her job, the Order, her friends, or the love of her life, Remus John Lupin.
